Liz Hull received her 200 RYT from YogaWorks, Los Angeles, in 2015, and has been teaching yoga since, most recently at Hot Asana, Durham, and The Assembly, Raleigh. She became certified to teach yoga after many years in the art business. Her last stint in the corporate art world was a summer in Ibiza, Spain, setting up an art foundation and a gallery. Ibiza’s soulful beauty and energizing music scene made her rethink her career path.
Upon returning to Los Angeles, she had no question that her calling was the yoga life. She headed to YogaWorks in Santa Monica and trained with Patti Quintero MA, 500 RYT and Gigi Snyder, 500 RYT. Her training is based on the principles of Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, somewhat athletic but very focused on alignment and the use of props.
She became interested in the deep stretching of Yin yoga, with its slow, and most importantly safe, release of the fascia and ligaments. In addition, her love of Kundalini yoga has made its way into her daily practice, with its energizing breath work and quiet meditation. She incorporates the deep, concentrated stretches of her Yin practice with an energizing vinyasa flow, topped off with a dusting of Kundalini magic.
